Primary schools are being invited to take part in a foreign language pilot programme.
The "language sampler module" will be targeted at third to sixth class students in more than 100 primary and special schools across Ireland,
The scheme, which has received €200,000 in funding, consists of one hour per week lessons over a six week period.
