The Brief Formulation Report has been completed
Fianna Fail TD for Kildare North, James Lawless, has confirmed to Kfm that the Brief Formulation Report for the provision of the new school building for Gaelcholáiste Mhaigh Nuad has been completed.
The BFR indicates the Master Plan and the design approach that will be used in this new school build, and was completed by the Design Team in the Department of Education.
The new school is funded under the Large-Scale Capital Programme.
When completed, it will include twelve mainstream classrooms, two general classrooms, three specialist rooms, two science laboratories, three art/crafts rooms, two construction studies/technology prep rooms, ten office spaces, a staff room, a general purpose/dining area and two special education needs classrooms.
Deputy Lawless said this news is "a crucial step in the progression of this new school build project in Maynooth."
“I want to pay tribute to the all the management, staff, students, parents and the Boards of Management who have all worked hard to get the building and facilities their school deserves.” he concluded.
