They are in Athy, Maynooth & Celbridge.

Significant progress is expected to be made on three key Kildare road construction project this year, in Maynooth, Athy and Celbridge.

Kildare County Council says the advance works on the €30 million Athy Southern Distributor Road are completed.

6 contractors have been shortlisted and construction is due to begin after October.

The compulsory purchase process for lands needed for the Maynooth Outer Orbital Route is due to begin in Quarter 4.

The project includes a bridge over over the Royal Canal & the rail line.

While the emerging preferred route for the Celbridge Hazelhatch Link Road is expected to have been settled upon by the end of the year.

The public consultation on the route has already taken place.
