The relics of St. Brigid are coming home to Kildare, after a near millenium.
Speaking on this morning's Kildare Today, Chairman of Into Kildare and Kildare Tourism Board David Mongey said it's a momentous occasion for Kildare, and it has been in incubation for almost five years.
A procession will accompany the relics from Solas Bhríde in Kildare Town at 10.30am, followed by a special Mass by Bishop Denis Nulty at 11am.
The accommodation of the relics will then be in situe in Kildare Town permanently.
