The Latest Daft.ie Rental Report has shown market rents rose by an average of 1.6% in the second quarter of 2025
The cost of renting is soaring around the country.
The Latest Daft.ie Rental Report has revealed Dublin is still the most expensive place to rent at over €2,500 a month, followed by Limerick with the average cost of close to €2,500.
Kildare market rents were on average 4.4% higher in the second quarter of 2025 than a year previously.
The average listed rent is now €2,071, up 51% from the level prevailing when the covid19 pandemic occurred.
The rest of the country averages at just over €1,600 a month.
Outside the five major cities, rents rose by an average of 6.2% over the last year.
