The nationwide average market rent for a two-bedroom apartment in early 2026 is now over €2,176 per month.
Renting markets have risen sharply in the first quarter of 2026, with the national average increasing by 4.4% between December and March according to figures released by Daft.ie.
This is the largest quarterly increase in rents in a series extending back to 2002.
In Kildare, market rents in the first quarter of 2026 were on average 7.8% higher than a year ago.
The nationwide average market rent for a two-bedroom apartment in early 2026 is now over €2,176 per month.
In Kildare, it sits slightly below the nationwide average at €2,125.
For double-room rentals, the national average was €806, while in Kildare it was €795.
There was increases however for rooms with ensuites, double-rooms are up by 8.3% to €852.
Then for singe-rooms with an ensuite they are up by 8% to €795.
