The cost to fix one garden in particular is expected to set the homeowner back by at least €2000.
Despite being given three solutions a year ago, Uisce Eireann has not acted to tackle a sewerage issue in the Branswood estate in Athy.
That's according to Kildare South Senator Mark Wall.
Three times in the past five months, the sewerage pumps have failed, causing damage to gardens.
The cost to fix one garden in particular is expected to set the homeowner back by at least €2000.
It's understood that Kildare County Council are still waiting on a response from Uisce Uireann on which of the three solutions it plans to utilise.
"It's happening too often...it's simply unacceptable," Senator Wall said.
Kfm recently reported how a similar issue occurred in the Abbeylands Estate in Castledermot.
A woman in her 70s had to take matters into her own hands to address the sewerage problem there.
