Kildare County Council says the project includes footpath works, on Henry Street.
The council says " One way traffic flow system will be in place through out the works.
Traffic flow from Charlotte street will not be permitted and shall be diverted around the assigned route. "
A traffic management system will be in place.
The project is due for completion this evening.
