The meeting - agreed by councillors in June - will give potential candidates for the 2025 Presidential Election an opportunity to present their cases for nomination.

Kildare County Council will hold a Special Meeting on Monday, 15 September 2025, at 3.30 p.m. in the Council Chamber, Áras Chill Dara, Naas.

Presentation Schedule (approximate times):

3.40 – Keith McGrory

3.50 – Charlotte Keenan

4.00 – Dr. Cora Stack

4.10 – Séana Kerr

4.20 – Conor McGregor (Withdrawn his application)

4.40 – Mosharaf Chowdhury

4.50 – Catherine Morrissey

5.00 – Dominic Plant

5.10 – Lorna McCormack

5.20 – Lucy Ann O’Leary

5.40 – Joseph Chikelue Obi

5.50 – Sarah Louise Mulligan

6.00 – Gerben Uunk

Breaks are scheduled at 4.30 and 5.30.

Additional individuals seeking nomination but not presenting include: Gareth Sheridan, Billy O’Connell, Nick Delahanty, Walter Ryan Purcell, William P Allen, Dolores Cahill, Phil (surname not provided), Paudie Dineen, Peter Casey, and Barry Wheely-Row.

Joanna Donnelly has withdrawn her application.

The meeting will also consider recommendations from the Protocol and Procedures Committee on how nominations and voting will proceed at the Special Meeting on 22 September.
