Reviving Communities: 500 Vacant Homes Reactivated in Kildare

Housing Minister Minister Darragh O’Brien urged all local authorities to utilise programmes like Voids Funding.

Five hundred vacant social homes have been reactivated across Kildare between 2014 and 2023 under the Voids Programme.

The Department of Housing reports a substantial €7.2 million investment in renovations.

"I commend Kildare County Council for working with us to bring these homes back into active use in 2023," he said.
