A suspected security alert is believed to be the reason for a road closure between Kilcullen and Naas this afternoon.
A section of the R448 near Melon Hill remains closed.

Speaking to Kfm News, Fine Gael Cllr on the Kildare Newbridge MD, Tracey O'Dwyer, said the road is expected to reopen in an hour's time.
