Kildare County Council have made the announcement on behalf of Coffey group.
A road near Maynooth is to be closed for almost a month from Wednesday to facilitate Uisce Éireann works.

Works will be carried out 24 hours a day, 7 days a week order to complete the works in as short a period as possible.
If works are complete prior to end date, road will be reopened at an earlier date.

Continue on R149 for 1.4 kilometres until you reach the Barberstown roundabout. Take the first exit to stay on the R149. Continue for 1.8 kilometres and take a right to stay on the R149. Continue for 600 metres until you reach the Ongar roundabout. Take the first exit to stay on the R149. Continue for 1 kilometre until you reach the R156 Junction. Take a left onto the R156 and continue for 400 metres until you reach the L2228 roundabout. Take the first exit onto the L2228 towards Dunboyne. Continue for 2.2 kilometres until you reach the R157 roundabout. Take the first exit off the roundabout into the R157. Continue for 1.3 kilometres until you reach the L2227 roundabout. Take the second exit to stay on the R157. Continue for 4.9 kilometres until you reach the L1014 junction. Take a left onto the L1014 towards Kellystown. Continue on the L1014 for 1.9 kilometres until it turns into the L1015 at Kellystown. Continue on the L1015 for 3 kilometres where the diversion ends.
Northbound on R149 (Kildare Side / Captains Hill)
Take a left at the L1015 junction onto the L1015 towards Kellystown. Continue for 3 kilometres until the L1015 turns into the L1014. Continue on the L1014 for 1.9 kilometres until you reach the R157 junction and take a right onto the R157 towards Dunboyne.
Continue for 5 kilometres until you reach a roundabout and take the first exit to stay on the R157. Continue for 1.3 kilometres until you reach the Dunboyne roundabout and take the third exit onto the L2228 towards Dunboyne. Continue on the L2228 for 3.1 kilometres until you reach the R147 junction. Take a right onto the R147 towards Clonee and continue for 400 metres until you reach the R149 junction and take a right onto the R149. Continue on the R149 for 2.4 kilometres until you reach the Ongar roundabout and take the second exit to stay on the R149. Continue for 600 metres and stay left to stay on the R149. Continue for 1.8 kilometres until you reach the Barberstown roundabout and take the third exit to stay on the R149. Continue the R149 for 1.4 kilometres where the diversion ends.
