Fine Gael Cllr. Tim Durkan says drivers are breaking the lights at the zebra crossing
Fine Gael Cllr. Tim Durkan has called on Kildare County Council to consider what measures can be implemented to improve road safety near the Presentation Girls National School in Maynooth.
Cllr. Durkan says it's a regular occurrence that drivers break the lights at the zebra crossing adjacent to the school.
Responding, Kildare County Council said it will assess the crossing to see if any additional warning can be given to drivers and engage with An Garda Siochana.
However, the Council stressed that the crossing has the required road markings, black and white poles with flashing orange lights and is located on a ramp.
