Cllr Chris Pender said parents are concerned over a bad bend.
There have been calls for a new entrance at Liffey Linear Park in Newbridge to provide safer access for children travelling to schools in the area.
Local Cllr Chris Pender said children are being forced to run across the road at a really bad bend when their parents park at Ryston Sports and Social Club.
Locals have previously called for a pedestrian crossing or traffic lights.
Having previously brought up the matter with the council, Cllr Pender plans to escalate the discussion by submitting a motion for consideration at the next municipal district meeting.
