It's to facilitate pipe-laying works.
Works take place on the Sallins Link Road today.
Kildare County Council, on behalf of SIAC Colas JV, says the road will be closed until Thursday evening, to facilitate pipe laying.
The closure, in place 24 hours a day, will be in place from the link road, the L1102, from the Sallins By-Pass roundabout to the westen entrance to Millbank Estate.
Alternative routes will be via the new Sallins Bypass (R407), and the Clane Road (L3014). Millbank Estate, the creche and Lidl will be accessible from the junction between the L1103 and the L3014 in Sallins village.
