Mark Wall says the number of Gardai there is at an "all time" low.
Athy Garda Station is short 9 members.
That's according to Kildare Labour Senator, Mark Wall.
He says there are 11 gardai stationed there, to service four units.
Garda protocol indicates that there should be 4 Gardai allocated to each unit.
Kildare has, historically, had amongst the lowest Garda to population ratio in the state.
Senator Wall says Garda numbers in the south of the county must be increased
