Mark Wall says the number of Gardai there is at an "all time" low.
Athy Garda Station is short 9 members.
That's according to Kildare Labour Senator, Mark Wall.
He says there are 11 gardai stationed there, to service four units.
Garda protocol indicates that there should be 4 Gardai allocated to each unit.
Kildare has, historically, had amongst the lowest Garda to population ratio in the state.
