Since 2021, Tusla have made referrals for 161 children to the Gardaí who were suspected of being victims of Child Sexual Exploitation. 115 of these children were in care, while 46 were "known to tusla".
Over 95,000 children were referred to Tusla last year.
That's according to Freedom Of Information documents obtained by Aontu Leader Peadar Toibin.
He said there are currently 37 children missing from Tusla's care, 32 of these children were refugees or were seeking international protection in Ireland.

Since 2014, a total of 235 children either in state care or "known to Tusla" have died.
Speaking on KIldare Today, Toibin said ten of these children were murdered and 51 of them died either by suicide or drug overdoses.
"The use, by Tusla, of unregulated ‘Special Emergency Arrangements’ for children must end. We’ve seen huge concerns raised about vetting standards among staff in these locations and I’ve heard horror stories from whistleblowers about what occurs in some of these settings," he said.
