The party is tabling a motion in the Dáil tonight.
Sinn Fein says many parents are being 'locked out' of the workforce by the astronomical cost of childcare.
The party will table a motion in the Dail today to cut costs by 33 percent.
Figures released by the Department of Children in 2019 show the average cost of childcare, nationally, was €184 per week.
In Kildare, it was €200.49 per week.
Cost is not the only issue faced by parents - places are at a premium. In Kildare, alone, over 12 childcare providers closed in 2020.
My motion will see childcare fees reduced by up to 2/3 and introduction of proper wage scale - starting at the living wage, we also propose a sustainability fund for providers
