Met Éireann has issued a Status Orange Rain warning for five counties.
Wicklow, Carlow, Kilkenny, Wexford, and Waterford will fall under the alert until 9pm tonight.
A Status Yellow Low Temperature/Ice warning is also in place for Kildare and the majority of the country from 8pm tonight until 10am tomorrow.
The warning will affect counties in Munster, Ulster, Connacht, and Leinster bar Louth and Dublin.
