A status yellow ice warning is in effect overnight across 18 counties including Kildare, Dublin, Laois and Offally.
There'll be rain, with wintry falls locally, which will fall on already frozen surfaces.
There'll be ice in places leading to hazardous travelling conditions, especially on untreated roads and paths.
The alert will last until 9 o'clock tomorrow morning
