Met Éireann has issued the weather warning for the entire country.
A Status Yellow snow and ice warning has been issued for Kildare and the entire country.
The warning comes into effect at 10pm Wednesday and is expected to last until 12 noon Thursday.
Met Éireann has forecast blustery squally showers of hail, sleet and snow with icy stretches.
It advises that untreated surfaces will lead to hazardous driving conditions on Wednesday night and Thursday morning.
It warns that some thunder and lightning expected too.
