A family-fun day in Straffan this weekend is expected to raise much-needed funds for improved facilities in the area.
The events are taking place on 13 September at The K Club, comprising of a family picnic and a duck race to follow.
Straffan GAA, Camogie & Straffan LGFA clubs along with the wider community are expected to benefit from the funds being raised.
The picnic has been completely sold out, as well as all 1,000 ducks.
From 2pm–5pm, families will be greeted by an afternoon of family entertainment including live music, a magic show, face painting, children’s activities, games and plenty of fun for all ages.
The activity will then move to the River Liffey at 5.30pm, where 1,000 sponsored ducks will take to the water for the Straffan Duck Race, with five winning ducks taking home prizes.
