Footage shows a male throwing a petrol can at the injured party's house
Gardaí are appealing for information following a suspected arson attack that occurred in Kilberry, Athy.
The incident took place on Saturday morning shortly after 5am.
The injured party awoke to a fire in the utility room of his house.
All occupants of the house were uninjured.
A petrol can was found at the back door of the house, and footage of the incident has been viewed.
In the footage, a male wearing a grey/black hoodie, white runners, black tracksuit bottoms, white jumper around his waist and a balaclava can be seen throwing the petrol can at the house.
