Construction was due to begin on DART+South West this year but it was pushed out to 2030 after a review of the National Development Plan.
However the Transport Minister has indicated that date could be brought forward.
Speaking in the Dáil yesterday, Taoiseach Micheál Martin said he is "fully behind DART + South West":
