The motion will be debated next week.
There are calls for the creation of a memorial to all lives lost, and suffering caused, by the Covid 19 pandemic in Kildare.
Over 13,000 people in the county have contracted the virus since February, 2020.
276 people in Kildare died with Covid between February, and April 13th this year.
A joint motion has been submitted by all councillors on the Kildare Newbridge Municipal District; they are: Noel Heavey, Chris Pender, Peggy O'Dwyer, Rob Power, Fiona Mc Loughlin Healy, Anne Connolly, Mark Stafford, Noel Connolly, Kevin Duffy, Tracey O’Dwyer & Suzanne Doyle
They want Kildare County Council, "n recognition of lives lost and suffering caused through the pandemic experience" create a memorial or bench or "other agreed installation, be located in an appropriate location within the municipal district."
Their motion will be debated at the monthly meeting of the MD, next week.
