Third level students will find out next month if they can expect large-scale lectures to feature on their timetables this year.

The Minister for Higher Education has guaranteed that students will return to campus in some capacity next semester.

Labs and small lectures will be permitted, but a decision will not be made on large-scale lectures until next month.

Minister Simon Harris joined Clem Ryan on Wednesday's edition of Kildare Today.

He says it's been a difficult year for students.
