Blessington Community College, St Kevins CC Dunlavin and Scoil Chonglais Baltinglass have all been stalled.

Three secondary schools builds in Wicklow have stalled their development, despite tender approval.

Blessington Community College, St Kevins CC Dunlavin and Scoil Chonglais Baltinglass have all been stalled.

A written parliamentary reply by Education Minister Hildegarde Naughton to Wicklow TD Edward Timmins outlines the status of the three projects, but offers no firm timelines for when construction will begin.

Blessington Community College has had a stage 2b report submitted to the Department which is under review.

St Kevins CC Dunlavin is at stage 2b and has been devolved to the National Development Finance Agency (NDFA) for delivery as part of a programme of school building projects and said that the NDFA will continue to "engage directly with the school authority fully informed of progress on this project".

Scoil Chonglais Baltinglass has been devolved to Kildare and Wicklow Education and Training Board (KWETB),  adding that full responsibility now rests with KWETB to engage with the design Team to advance the project.
