Kildare man John Dooley, recently crowned the winner of Super Garden 2024, has died.
Speaking on Kildare Today last Friday, John, from Woodlands in Castledermot, said his wife Liz was the reason he took part in the competition.
He said it was more "than a dream come true" that he "dreamed about it, thought about it", and that he would never have had the courage to do it if it wasn't for his wife's encouragement.
He is deeply regretted by his loving wife Liz, brothers, sisters, and extended family.
