Two People, Including Clane Woman, Due In Court Today After Bomb Discovered In Monaghan Last Week

Gardaí, targeting dissident republicans, found the alleged bomb after they intercepted a car near Carrickmacross on Wednesday.

The two people charged in relation to the discovery of an alleged car bomb in County Monaghan last week are due to appear in court again today.

Gardaí, targeting dissident republicans, found the alleged bomb after they intercepted a car near Carrickmacross on Wednesday.

25-year-old Isobella Perrie Sullivan, of Abbeylands Park, Clane, County Kildare, was granted conditional bail on Friday, but remanded in custody pending a bail hearing at Monaghan District Court today.

44-year-old Simon O'Donovan, of Sperrin Road in Drimnagh, Dublin, was denied bail at the Special Criminal Court on Saturday night, and is due back before the court today.

Both were charged with possessing explosives.
