Two permanent psychologists have been appointed to North Kildare at Kilcock and Celbridge Primary Care Centres.
Kildare North TD Bernard Durkan put forward the question at a recent parliamentary meeting, and asked for the adequate psychology provisions.
He also asked why there had been such a delay in implementing these services to date.
Durkan commneted: "Child and adult services for mental health have been under pressure for a long time.
"Now that covid is easing, we need to ensure that these services are provided
"I have been advised that two psychologists are due to take up their posts in the coming months.
"These positions will be permanent psychologists for Celbridge and Kilcock," he added.
