Uisce Éireann says further temporary closures are expected later this year, with advance notice to be given.
Uisce Éireann is reminding motorists of a planned road closure in Leixlip as part of works on the Maynooth Transfer Pipeline.
The L1015 Kellystown Road will be closed from the junction with the L1014 Kellystown Road to the R149, from Tuesday January 13th to Friday March 13th, 2026.
The closure is required to allow pipelaying works to continue.
Diversions will be signposted, with local and emergency access maintained.
Uisce Éireann says further temporary closures are expected later this year, with advance notice to be given.
Construction on the project is ongoing, with around 4.5 kilometres of the new pipeline installed so far.
The Maynooth Transfer Pipeline involves a new 9-kilometre wastewater pipeline linking Maynooth to the Leixlip Wastewater Treatment Plant, along with upgrades to pumping infrastructure.
The project is designed to support future development in Maynooth and Kilcock, including additional wastewater capacity for up to 11,500 new homes.
