Unaccompanied Learner Driver Caught Speeding And Drug Driving In Kildare

Naas Policing Unit detected the motorist traveling at 93km/h in a 60km/h zone.

An unaccompanied learner driver was arrested in Castlekealy, Caragh after being caught speeding and testing positive for drugs according to Gardaí.

Naas Policing Unit detected the motorist traveling at 93km/h in a 60km/h zone.

Gardaí found the driver was a learner permit holder, and further checks led to a roadside drug test, which returned a positive test for cocaine.

The individual was arrested, and the car was seized under road traffic legislation.

Gardaí continue to urge all drivers to adhere to road safety regulations.
