There are fears of the implications to the Defence Forces of the loss of knowledge and experience of these soldiers.

Kildare Senator, Mark Wall, has been speaking to Kildare Today.

He says comments by the Minister for Defence, Simon Coveney, mean he is hopeful for resolution.
