The recall is of a specific batch of Pettitt's Kitchen products
There has been an urgent recall of ready meals across Kildare, WIcklow and Wexford due to the possible presence of Listeria monocytogenes.
Pettitt's Supervalu are located in six locations altogether: Athy, Bray, Arklow, Enniscorthy, Gorey and St Aidans in Wexford town.
The Food Safety Authority of Ireland have advised consumers not to eat the affected ready meals.
The recall involves 35 different products.
Retailers are requested to remove the implicated batches from sale and display recall notices at the point of sale.
In addition, the FSAI outlined the symptoms:
"Symptoms of Listeria monocytogenes infection can include mild flu-like symptoms, or gastrointestinal symptoms such as nausea, vomiting and diarrhoea. In rare cases, the infection can be more severe, causing serious complications.
Some people are more vulnerable to Listeria monocytogenes infections, including pregnant women, babies, and people with weakened immune systems, including the elderly."
