A vigil is being held this evening in Kildare town in memory of 29 year old Ryan Weir Gibbons who died as a result of a fatal assault on Sunday October 26th.
The vigil will take place in the Market Square at 7pm.
Gibbons was found unresponsive on Sunday October 26th at approximately 3.15am outside McGee Terrace on the Dublin Road in Kildare Town.
He was taken to Naas General Hospital and passed away on Thursday October 30th as a result of his injuries.
His funeral will take place on Friday at 11am at St. Brigid's Parish Kildare Town.
