Customers in Coill Dubh, Prosperous, Derrinturn, Kilmeage, Robertstown, Allenwood, and surrounding areas are being asked to conserve water.
Uisce Éireann is urging customers across parts of North Kildare to reduce their water usage as warm weather continues to put pressure on local supply.
Customers in Coill Dubh, Prosperous, Derrinturn, Kilmeage, Robertstown, Allenwood, and surrounding areas are being asked to conserve water after demand outpaced treatment capacity.
Water supply interruptions are expected from Saturday evening (11th July), with production at the Allen Reservoir temporarily reduced to allow water levels to recover.
Supply is due to begin returning from around 6am on Sunday (12th July), although it could take up to 12 hours for normal service to resume in all areas.
Bottled water will be available for vulnerable customers, while Uisce Éireann is asking people to limit non-essential water use, including avoiding hoses, taking shorter showers, and only running washing machines and dishwashers with full loads.
