Homes and businesses across parts of north Kildare may experience water supply disruption today following a burst water main on the R148 Maynooth Road outside Leixlip.

The outage is affecting Leixlip, Maynooth, Celbridge and surrounding areas.
Once repairs are finished, water is expected to return gradually over the following hours.
Customers in higher-lying areas or at the ends of the network may have to wait longer for normal supply to continue.
Traffic management measures are also in place around the repair works and motorists are being asked to take care in the area.
Uisce Éireann says crews are working to restore supply as quickly as possible.
