Uisce Éireann crews are working to repair a major burst to a pressure pipeline on the wastewater network in Maynooth.
Crews have been on the ground since Friday, with works to this complex repair and will continue with hopes to fix the issue however, there is a risk it may extend beyond Sunday morning due to the current weather warnings.
The Environmental Protection Agency have been consulted regarding the issue and remedial measures are ongoing to minimise any overflows into River Rye.
