A main in Carbury has ruptured.
Large parts of rural north west Kildare may be without water until this evening.
Kildare County Council says a main in Carbury has burst.
That has disrupted supply to Carbury, Johnstownbridge, Donadea, Knockanally, parts of Derrinturn, & surrounding areas.
Repairs are underway, and are not scheduled for completion until 5pm this evening.
It could take up to three hours, after that, for the system to refill and for normal supply to resume.
