11 estates are affected.
Repairs are underway on a ruptured water-main, which has impacted supply to a large portion of Newbridge.
Kildare County Council says the main is in Barretstown lawns.
Works are underway, and supply to households in Riverside Park, Mill Lane, Roseberry Court, Barrettstown Manor, Barrettstown Lawns, Raymonds Court, Barrettstown Meadows, Mill Lane, College Grove, Old Connell Weir, and all households on the Barrettstown Road from the Newbridge College as far as Tankardsgarden may experience low water pressure or a total loss of supply during the works.
They are scheduled for completion at 4pm.
It could take up to three hours, after that, for the system to refill and for normal supply to resume.
