The Abbey is a very popular wedding venue
Two windows of an 18th century Chapel in Athy were smashed in an incident of criminal damage last Thursday, April 10th.
Gardai say the incident occurred at approximately 4:15pm on the grounds of The Abbey in the town.
The incident involved a number of youths throwing stones at the Chapel situated on the grounds of the venue.
Two windows in the Chapel which dates back to the 18th century were broken during the incident and it’s expected that the repair costs will be significant.
