Road now reopen after road traffic collision involving a car and a pedestrian that occurred at approximately 5:25 am in the Mylerstown area, Saturday
Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene of a fatal road traffic collision involving a car and a pedestrian that occurred at approximately 5:25 am in the Mylerstown area, Robertstown, Co. Kildare, Saturday 31st January 2026.
The pedestrian, a male in his 50s, was pronounced deceased at the scene. His body has been transferred to hospital where a post-mortem examination will take place in due course.
No other injuries have been reported.
The scene was preserved for technical examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators. The road has since reopened.
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to this collision to come forward.
Anyone who was travelling in the area between 5:00 am and 5:45 am and who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) is asked to make that footage available to investigating Gardaí.
