The male suffered injuries to his eye and lip, but did not require medical treatment.
Gardaí are appealing for information after a young male was assaulted in Clane over the weekend.
The incident occurred on Thursday (20 August) at approximately 8:45pm in the Alexandre walk area of the town.
He was on the way to his friends birthday party, when a large group of uninvited people turned up to the party.
Gardai were then called, and requested for people to leave the area.
During this, the young male in question was "chased by a group of up to fifteen other youths and he was assaulted", according to Garda Brian Carroll on Kildare Today's Crimewatch.
The male suffered injuries to his eye and lip, but did not require medical treatment.
