It's alleged the incident happened in September 2020.
A 15-year-old boy threatened to petrol bomb a woman's home unless she gave him money and a Playstation during an extortion attempt, a court has heard.
The Dublin Children's Court heard the 17 year old is also accused of threatening to damage her house in Blanchardstown in Dublin.
It's alleged that on a date in September 2020, two teens went to the home of the woman, who is in her forties.
The woman, and a witness, said a threat was made that if her son didn't pay the money he owed, the accused would petrol bomb the house in two hours.
Nothing was carried out after the alleged threat.
A decision has yet to be made as to whether the case will remain in the Children’s Court or go forward to the Circuit Court, which has tougher sentencing powers.
The case resumes next month.
