A man in his 30s has been arrested.
A man in his 60s has died following an assault at a home in Dublin.
It happened last night in Firhouse.
Stephanie Rohan has the details:
"Gardai and emergency services were called to a home in Carriglea View in Firhouse at around ten to midnight last night.
A man in his 60s had been assaulted and was pronounced dead a short time later.
his body remains at the scene this morning – which has been preserved for a technical exam.
The office of the State Pathologist has been notified and a post mortem will take place later today.
A man in his 30s has been arrested and is being questioned at Tallaght Garda Station.
Anyone who was in the area between half eleven and half past midnight last night is being asked to contact gardai if they saw anything."
