With the hope to take pressure off emergency services
It's hoped that a 'welfare area' in Dublin city centre will take the pressure off emergency services.
The pilot area will be set up on Fosters Place, College Green, with trained medics and security staff on hand.
It will be operational between 11pm and 4am on December 20th, 21st and 22nd.
Ray O'Donoghue, Dublin’s Night-Time Economy Advisor, says the welfare area will serve as an in-between spot for people who need help.
