It found 72% of the public want the government to reverse the excise duty increase on fuel, even more car owners , 76%, want the measure reversed.
The vast majority 78% are against the decision to pause road upgrades with 60% wanting the government to build more motorways.
Some 61% of car owners would be encouraged to give up their car if there was more reliable and frequent public transport.
Some 30% of people in Ireland think the country is anti-car, with 33% of car owners of the same opinion.
