Boris Travels To NI Today For Crisis Talks After DUP Blocked Election Of A Speaker At The Stormont Assembly

Powersharing in Northern Ireland has been suspended since elections earlier this month.

The British Prime Minister Boris Johnson travels to Belfast today as the crisis continues over the Northern Ireland Protocol.

He is expected to tell the parties they should work together to re-start the stalled Stormont Assembly.

There's speculation he may suggest changes to the Northern Ireland Protocol in the coming days.

Sinn Fein is accusing the British Government of colluding with the DUP in order to stop co-operating with Nationalists.

Party TD for Donegal, Padraig McLoughlin, says the behaviour of the Boris Johnson administration is outrageous:
