He defeated MEP Billy Kelleher
Former Dublin GAA Manager Jim Gavin has been selected by Fianna Fáil to be its candidate for the Presidential Election, defeating MEP Billy Kelleher.
It was on a margin of 41 votes to 29.
Mr. Gavin is the third name confirmed for October's vote alongside Catherine Connolly and Heather Humphreys.
