Calls For Irish Rail To Bring Back The Catering Service On Inter-City Lines

Commuters are renewing their call for Irish Rail to bring back the catering service on its inter-city lines.

During the pandemic, the refreshment carts were discontinued, and have since only been re-introduced on Cork to Dublin services and Belfast to Dublin Enterprise services.

The Oireachtas Committee on Transport is pushing for clarity on the decision-making process and budgetary requirements needed to re-instate the food and drink trolleys.

Lochlann Gallagher, chair of the Galway Commuter Coalition, says the delay in their re-introduction is unacceptable:
